(v.) - A portmanteau of procrastination and half-ass. Describes a situation in which one does not wish to complete an important assignment, but also realizes that work must be done. Generally involves surfing the internet while periodically doing small, unimportant things to attempt to complete the project.
I'm halfasstinating on my English essay. Facebook is much more interesting than exploring religious implication of nihilism, but I don't want to pull an all-nighter to finish it, thus the halfasstination.
