A bicycle, painted white, that is locked up at the site where a cyclist was killed. It is a remembrance of the person who was fatally injured or died at that location.
Joe was an avid cyclist who was hit by a truck. His friends and family set-up a ghost bike as part of his Roadside Memorial.

Noun: a friend who is usually only called upon by a friend when a more primary/prominent friend is unavailable.
Taken from the term “second string” in an athletic competition situation. In football, if the star quarterback gets injured during a play, the second string is called off the bench to replace him/her. A “Second String Friend” is essentially benched until needed, if ever.

An Electric (EAPC) Bike which has been manufactured above EAPC (Current UK Legal requirements) by exceeding the following:
Its electric motor:
1) must have a maximum power output of 250 watts
2) should not be able to propel the bike when it’s travelling more than 15.5mph
Thus meaning that the Ghost Bike is illegal as it is over powered and not registered with the DVLA and not displaying a valid registration plate. Meaning you can Ghost Finger with ease when a Gatso speed camera takes your photo.
