Someone who spends a lot of time on the computer, watching sci-fi, reading fanasty but DOES have an actual life. Not to be confused with a NERD who also does these things but does NOT have a life. Nor to be confused with a DORK, whom both the geeks & the nerds beat up.

Basically, anyone who's into ANYTHING besides testosterone fueled recreational or professional activities, IE, sports, hiphop music, drinking or street racing. If it's an intellectual interest, one that requires more than a 3rd grade education to understand, you can bet that it has geek followers.

To help u understand "Geek" the hierarchy of geek goes as follows:

GEEK~ has the interest and intelligence to do what he wants, but no particular style- geeks can be anyone. You will someday work for them. Often has bad grades.

NERD~ Has both the interest and intelligence, but is bogged down by his nerdy, outsider style. They will work for your company, and do all the work, but never show up for meetings or get a raise. Strait-A

DORK~ Just the crappy pants up to high, taped glasses, wanna-be style without the intelligence or even interest in things like real video games, manga, or computers. NOTE- often possess "wanna-be" interest in theses subjects.

A Geek is the "cooler" version of a Nerd, some might have the same amount of knowledge but tend to be more Popular. This depends on what people may benefit from theme. Like Nerd they tend to have the same type of "Strage Reactions", but they are often called upon to help out with computer problems, therefore complimenting thiere lack of popularity.

A geek is a nerd with a social life/skills. They usually have an odd personality.

To laugh excessively, often used when exclaiming how funny something is.
