Similar to greenwashing, the act of adding something to your product, advertisement or TV show to make it gay to make sure you're being politically correct.
The new Token in TV shows is having a gay character or couple, even if the actor is clearly hetrosexual. "Every sitcom I watch has been practicing gaywashing. if they don't have a gay sub-plot, they're just not PC, so they have to add one."

A phrase to describe someone who is cognitively degenerating. Synonym of "going off the deep end". Can have varying degrees of severity.

Gay ɡā Washing ˈwäSHiNG - The act of altering source material and misinterpreting cannon of character or story to fit a LGBTQ+ narrative. Usually after the founder, or the previous owner has either died, or signed the company over to new owners.
