The cross faze period between two people where the relationship could go one of two ways: Total platonic friendship or Romantic partnership. Usually the former occurs, regardless of whether the two people are attracted to each other or not due to the high school mentality that risking a friendship is a risk they can't bare to make. Two people might be great for each other, but they are either to awkward or stubborn about the mention of idea with each other, often due to pressure from friends that they would be just "perfect for each other". This happens to both girls and boys, alike.

When the person you like doesn't like you back, but it's worse. This person treats you as a friend, so even though you every time you hang out with this person, you want to make out with them and stick your tongue down their throat, you have to resist because you might lose them as a friend.
