A condition in which engineering, math, science, or other STEM majors have extreme difficulty talking to the opposite sex. Often these people are hold up in their "comfy zone", library, home, or some other quiet location studying. Because of this, people who suffer from Engineering Syndrome are single and lonely because their grades in college cannot afford to be stunted by parties or socializing.
