A term used both to insult and define people who play only PC Games and hate Consoles(such as Wii, Xbox 360, and PS3). The following traits/beliefs are common among PC Elitists:

1. Graphic Superiority of PCs over Consoles
2. Infinite Backwards compatibility
3. Mouse and Keyboard beat out Controllers
4. Believe that all Games are PC games since you can't program on a Console
5. Believe in User Generated content for games
6. Feel that DLC should be Free.
7. Think Xbox Live is filled with racist twelve year olds.
8. Know what Steam is and have never bought a game from Gamestop since.
9. Feel that FPS should never have went to console
10. Hate Consoles

Hipsters (yeah, fucking hipsters) who think they aren't hipsters, because they are educated, rich, spoiled, pretty, and of course, better than hipsters. However, they are nothing but useless fucking hipsters.

A rude metalhead who tells people they "aren't a real metalhead" or a calls them a "poser" because they dont like/listen that particular sub-gerne of metal. They put others down for their musical taste or if they don't like the same bands as them, they think they know what "real metal" is.

Scum. They hate the idea of people watching anime in English, no matter if the dub is good or not. They also most likely just watch a few seconds of a dub and immediately hate it because “ItS nOtHiNg LiKe ThE sUb!” They will say that anyone who watches the dub is retarded, braindead, have no taste, or that their opinion is wrong. They have no perception of the fact that either they have disabilities that make reading harder, are blind, or can’t focus on subtitles. Or the even bizarre fact that some people just prefer dubs because it’s their opinion.

One is arrogant and egotistical, and believes they are superior to others, for a reason that is petty, a reason that is questionable or based on opinion, or for being in a 'better' situation than others placed entirely on luck and not one's actual experiences (such as a parent's wealth).

As a result, they are prejudiced to those that they consider to be less 'elite'. To those that are of equal or higher status, they will either show more respect to, or envy.

The attempted to by Conservatives and Liberals to lable the other as being elitist. Both sides fail to recognize the fact that there elitist on both sides of the political spectrum.

A person who believes their metal music is superior to other people's music. These people only listen to metal music and categorize metal through sub-genres. Some metal elitists are so wound up, that they tend to only listen to one type of metal sub-genre. Metal Elitists are usually found listening to underground metal bands and cut down other people's musical taste if it is not up to par with their own.
