The BBL EFFECT stands for Brazilian Butt Lift effect, because after somebody had something like this done they will definitely act like Kylie Jenner. Usually they have long acrylics, long hair or wigs and lip filler.

When your shitty teacher named Ms. Mackey only talks about filtering and preparing for college and how you should be getting a 100 in the class without a problem. Instead, you end up failing the class and your college acceptance rejected. These are only minor effects of The Mackey Effect.
Dude The Mackey Effect is killing me right now, im flunking civics but everyone in the class down the hall has five times less work and has an A.

The aftermath of a night of moderate drinking, then deciding it is necessary to eat a gyro in order to drive home safely… which has the effect of tasting that for the next ½ of a day after you wake up, whether slightly still drunk, hungover, or stone sober.
guy 1: i'll have a water.
guy 2: i'll have a PBR.
guy 1: dude, its 10am!
guy 2: sorry bro, got the gyro effect from last night. need to get the lamb and a nasty chick taste out of my mouth.

The lingering, long-term damage caused to an area by chemical contamination at the hands of a major corporation.
Made famous by the movie "Erin Brockovich", the town of Hinkley, California suffered large scale contamination of its drinking water with hexavalent chromium, a lethal chemical known to cause cancer and damage the respiratory system, kidneys, liver, skin and eyes. In 1996 the residents of Hinkley were awarded the largest settlement payout in history from PG&E, but many left the area afterwards, fearing continued deception at the hands of the company. It's now largely a ghost town - that's the Hinkley Effect.

Being fearful of naming someone or something. The phrase takes cue from the line associated with "Lord Voldemort" in the Harry Potter series: 'he who must not be named'.
The phrase was coined by British activist Maajid Nawaz in context of Islamism; analysts being fearful or reluctant to call out the ideology of Islamism as the underlying cause of Jihadist terrorism.
