If you 'ding' it means that on an internet based website, facebook, myspace or forums, when there is a thread running you say something completely random or inappropriate, which kills the conversation or thread, dead.

(dinging) the current act of having sex.
dinging is not meant to produce a kid or fetus
dinging does NOT refer to adults having sex. just to teenagers having a good time.
when you ding, its a custom to text or call a previously named "dinging buddy" to let them know that you are, in fact, dinging.
