a gang of rogue, militant, horny Depeche Mode fans who will destroy anyone who insults or undermines the work of the group, or any of it's members.

Something that falls short of irony, but fits nicely for all the phenomena people usually assign to the word irony. Means bad luck, "a horrible coincidence", "the stupidity of man", "the mean-spiritedness of whomever's in charge of the universe." Refering to the lyrics of the Depeche Mode song, "Blasphemous Rumours".

when translated into english, depeche mode means "depressed mood." there is a band named after the phrase. listening to their monotone songs (if you can call them songs) will put anyone in a depressed mood. the band couldnt have picked a better name. a lack of ability to make decent music saddened them and lead them to make nothing but depressing songs.

Dave Gahan. Formerly known as a lead singer only, but on Playing the Angel (2005 album) he penned three superlative songs: Suffer Well; I Want it All; and Nothing's Impossible, along with Martin L. Gore's always painfully beautiful songs.
