A shorter way of saying "the people I know in real life".
@the_temptations_fanpage (Internet Friend 1): I love having friends! They're so fun!

@revolutionarysaxplayer (Internet Friend 2): Yeah, totally! But I definitely like my internet friends more than my day mates though... Like you!

@the_temptations_fanpage: Really? Thanks! Same to you!

@revolutionarysaxplayer: No problem :)

G'day Mate

When one intelligent life form greets another intelligent life form the first two words that are used are “Hello” and “Breed”.

Hello is used because it is a greeting that is a non-offensive acknowledgement of the other life form. Breed is used because it is an encouragement of the other life forms continuation and advancement.

In the Australian vernacular the word “G’day” is used in place of the word Hello. The “G” in “G’day”, does away with the superior, righteous, judgemental and virtuous associations with the word “Good”. The use of the abbreviated “G” in “G’day” gives the listener permission and logical reason to interpret the “G” as referring to the more informal meanings of the word “Good”, such as happy, great, OK, courteous, and kind-hearted.

“Day” is intelligent because it recognises a common element of the Universe which is that life forms are surrounded by planets that have periods of night and day. “Day” does not exclusively describe a specified length of time; rather it is a word that describes that which is frequent, persistent, constant, regular, habitual and universally overt to intelligent life forms everywhere in our Universe.

Australians use “Mate” in place of the word Breed. Mate is a very intelligent and clever word because Mate encompasses all that is in the word Breed, and at the same time easily communicates the comforting affirmation that you are my friend.

G’day Mate is the most intelligent greeting that has ever been uttered by humanity.

G’Day Mate

G’Day Mate is the act of applying Australian Gold Sunscreen to one’s anus prior to Butthole Sunning. In case you’re wondering, like I was, Butthole Sunning is an actual thing. Apparently “absorbing sunlight through your anus is a great way to recharge your whole system”.
Chris: “Hey Sarah, it’s supposed to be 85 and sunny tomorrow....you know what that means!”

Sarah: “Sure do! It means you’re still worried about your melanoma coming back and you need me to give your asshole a G’Day Mate.”

Chris: *sad faced* “Yes.”

trucker's tan

A sunburn or suntan focused on the left arm. It is caused by the left side of the body being the only half that gets exposed to sunlight while driving. Presumably, it would be located on the right side of the body in countries where they drive on the left side of the road.
I had a trucker's tan after driving for 10 straight hours on a sunny day.

British slang for a scientist or technical expert, esp . when the speaker is not certain of the expert’s specific field of study. Not necessarily derogatory, but typically used by persons without a technical background. In the US, the equivalent would be “egghead”, “squint”, or “geek.”

Origin of the word is unknown. Started sometime in World War 2. Given the typical evolution of British slang, could easily have started because what these experts did was confusing or “baffling” to the common person.

Pee Calculus

When you have to pee in a movie but don’t want to miss anything, and must do the following mental equation: will the amount I have to pee cause enough discomfort to diminish my attention capacity for the remainder of the movie to an extent which is greater than the amount of the movie I would miss by making a mad dash to the restroom.
I saw Satantango last night, wonderful film but by the 5th hour I had to start doing pee calculus.
