Cloth-eared: (adj.) Describes a person who is dull, insensitive, or thick-headed. It refers pejoratively to one who acts as though their ears are made of (and functioning like) cloth, as a stuffed animal would have.
I've told you time and again, don't put the toothpaste in your mouth before your toothbrush, you cloth eared bog-trotter!
