Slang term used in a prison setting. Usually a glove or some kind of plastic, etc. that is 'hooped' (hidden in the anal cavity) when trying to transport drugs/tobacco/'kites' or anything else you dont want found, to another place/person.
"Did homeboy bring a 'clavo' in with him?"
"Hell yeah, he 'hooped' it right at the last minute before the cops got him!"

clavo is spanish for nail. but the "street" term of clavo, refers to drugs such as meth. when it's used with a syringe .
