(Verb): When you create a hackathon project with a really good user interface/frontend, but with barely any backend at all in order to hide the uselessness of your project. This term originated when an app called Cartouch, which supposedly unlocks your car with your fingerprint but actually only creates a message box that says "your car has been unlocked", won first place at a hackathon, beating out much cooler machine learning projects.
He cartouched his app and still won 1st place, even though it had a copy pasted template GUI and just one if statement.
