Intelligence agency term for "psychological operation". A government or corporate-sponsored operation, usually taking the form of a "terrorist attack" or "crazed gunman on a spree", with the intent of panicking the public into demanding more police and laws inhibiting freedom. Psyops are usually carried out by drugging a civilian or group of civilians with aggression-promoting drugs, psyching them up, arming them, and sending them out to commit mayhem. Bogus is a word going back a couple hundred years which refered to counterfeit money and anything else that's fake. It also means wrong, uncool, unfair, unreal, off, messed up. Popularized in the late '80's and early '90's by Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure in which Bill and Ted frequently refer to things as bogus.

Adjective describing something that is not true or legitimate.

Used in various situations to express mild to extreme displeasure.

An insult that can mean "Wrong" or "Fake"

It's basically like saying "bullshit", but with a cool twist.
