Backpack boys are a group of pubescent wannabe hype beasts. They wear large backpacks that are much too large for their teenage bodies. They travel in packs, and all mysteriously look alike, but they are NOT related. They never seem to talk, just walk around with their big backpacks. The term “backpack boys” was coined by Daisy Baierl in 2019.

A Backpack Boy is someone who fails to deliver to a group project. The group relies on Backpack Boy, and trusts him to do his part. Sometimes he’ll even apologize, and say he’ll start to help. But in the end, the group carries this boy like a backpack, which is what gives him his ridiculous name.
