Many people tend to use this as a joke or think that it's not real, but there are really people that only like these 2-D characters. Animesexual is a sexuality that falls under the asexual spectrum that explains some who only finds sexual attraction towards anime characters. Some people with this identity also find sexual attraction towards any fictional character but mostly finds sexual attraction towards anime characters.
