(n) Surname for the family of Turkish people who are derived from the famous Ottoman Assassins of the Creed. The use of the surname started when the leader of the Ottoman Assassins, Faruk, needed an immediate surname and therefore named himself Faruk Aksu, as Aksu means Clear, pure water, and so the Ottoman Assassins are clear and pure.
