Hair style associated with fine ass black men who look sharp. Looks even better with a shape up. Takes time to create and maintain but makes the ladies cream.

Refers to a primarily Black hairstyle, where enough gel or texturizer is used to turn normally curly hair, "wavy". Not nearly as popular now as it was in mid to late 80's. Also the explanation for a so-called "wave" brush. Very even flowing waves are difficult to obtain and were highly regarded once.

Describing an event or feeling that "goes with the flow".
A form of approval or acceptance with ones sentiment.

Kim asked Kanye if he wanted to go to the party, Kanye replied, "waves".
"Hey do you want mustard or ketchup on your hot dog?"
"I am waves for either"

Waves means one of two things. One way someone could use the term is to agree with someone, like you’re on the same wavelength. The other way you can use it is to describe something that’s cool. If something is “waves” it means most people would agree that it’s cool (everyone is on the same wavelength).
Using “waves” instead of “cool”:
Person 1: “Have you heard Drake’s new album”?
Person 2: “Fuck ya that’s waves”.
Using “waves” instead of “I agree”:
Person 1: “I’m so horny right now”.
Person 2: “Waves. Let’s fuck”.

1. TO BE AUTHENTIC, ORIGINAL & CREATIVE
2. TO STAY IN YOUR LANE & DO YOUR OWN THING
2. PAVING THE WAY FOR OTHERS TO FOLLOW; OR CREATING A WAVE THAT OTHERS SEEMINGLY RIDE ON

> Drake's song, Portland: "Never let these niggas ride your wave"
> Ride your own wave, be yourself, ya feel me
