A wallflower is a person who is introverted and is separate from the crowd, usually at a party. Not particularly shy but are reserved when surrounded by a lot of people and big personalities. Not really knowing what to say so can come across as socially awkward. This person will blend in and become almost invisible to others. They choose to stand back rather than getting involved as they prefer to observe. They have no desire to be the centre of attention.

Generally they are quite happy in themselves and accept being different. Wallflowers can be creative and wise.

A wall may be ordinary and unnoticeable but a flower is associated with beauty and can be rare, you won't truly learn until you get close.
He's a wallflower. You see things. You keep quiet about them. And you understand.

A moment that is generally agreed to have had a significant influence on pop culture and everyday life. While the term was coined by Rose McGowan in context of the #MeToo movement, and is mostly associated with the K-pop community, the phenomenon is universal and a basic component of how culture works.

Real world events such as social/political movements, the election of a new U.S. President, major catastrophes and disasters, as well as entertainment such as movies, music and TV, can all function as cultural resets. Notable cultural resets in relatively recent memory include:

* The Beatles appearing on the Ed Sullivan show in 1964
* The Watergate scandal of 1974
* The release of Nevermind by Nirvana in 1991
* The September 11, 2001 attacks
* The election and inauguration of Barack Obama in 2009
* The COVID-19 pandemic
"The Nineties politically started with the fall of the Berlin Wall on November 9, 1989 and the Soviet Union dissolving on December 26, 1991, and ended with both the 2000 Presidential election which saw the victory of George W. Bush and the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 which left people so stupefied that it functioned as something of a cultural reset button." - TV Tropes' article on the 1990s

Someone who could be called shy, someone who doesn't feel comfortable around other people. They don't like to have attention on them because it makes them uncomfortable. They like to stay off to the side at parties or dances. They have trouble talking to people because they don't know what to say. Talking to new people is not their strongest point, and standing up in front of people can make them feel awful. They may act fake around their friends to hide their real quiet personality, but to everyone else, they're invisible. Just because they're "antisocial" doesn't mean they're snobby. They just would rather watch then be involved. They know things about people that you would never know unless you watched as closely as them. You could tell anything to a wallflower and they'd never tell anyone because they try to avoid talking to people. They can be the best people, if you take the time to crack their thick shell. The opposite sex doesn't seem to consider them very much, but if you got to know them, they'd be great. They are usually attracted to other wallflowers because they are like eachother. Wallflowers are beautiful.

Someone, usually a teenager who observes other people and how they interact. He or she who is a wallflower may seem antisocial, but probably just wants to fit in. These people are very smart, have strong emotions, and try to understand people. Wallflowers look for friends, and might have a few good ones, and might not. They often want to fit in with other teens, but realize they are too socially awkward to really fit in. So he, she or they would stand on the sidelines, observe others, but are too afraid to let their awkwardness show.
I consider myself a wallflower. I am mostly lonely, but once I get to know people or if people give me a chance, I can show who I really am, and I can show who I truly am, a nice and not-so-different person.

A person who usually goes along unnoticed and doesn't talk much. On contrary to popular belief they don't hear and know everything (some hear and know less than usual) though some do. They are usually considered loners but are actually mostly shy or introverts. Wallflowers are also usually sincere and kind-hearted people who are misunderstood, and tend to be genuinely interesting once they open up and talk to you, though you'll probably need to talk to them first.
Random jock: Dude you know Lucas? Such a wallflower, he doesn't talk to anyone, what a loser.
Guy who talks to Lucas: You're a serious dick dude, and believe it or not, Lucas is the only one who doesn't think that, he said "I'm sure there's a reason he acts like that".
Random jock: Seriously? I fell kind of bad now...
