Originating from the Latin word for life, "vita". A vitist is a person who is prejudiced against or antagonistic towards people who survive after a accident that was a reckless endagerment of others.

Vitisism is most often seen in the reactions people have towards accidents that could have endangered others. If the person lives, the vitist condemns the person, if they did not survive, the vitist send their condolences.
