Twanking is the combination of technology and wanking - the act of satisfying yourself by showing off complex technical solutions. Often seen with digital developers and followers of agile methodologies.

Using Twitter or Facebook to update people with banal, brutally dull, meaningless activities or fortune cookie "insights." Also: gross oversharing. Noun versions: twankery, twanker.

The simultaneous act of tweeting and wanking. May lead to spelling errorsfgdfshhnbrzsbnzfg or unusual typos. Common with some journalists, one of the lesser known examples being Kai Diekmann, current editor-in-chief of the german BILD-Zeitung, a daily "newspaper". A person that twanks a lot is called a twanker}
