An anticonvulsant often prescribed to bipolar patients for its mood stabilizing properties.
It tends to cause noticeably less side effects than anti psychotics such as Lithium and Seroquel, and side effects experienced tend to not be too extreme (generally drowsiness, fatigue, mild dizziness, memory loss/ brain fog).
Whether taken for epilepsy or bipolar, it should not be stopped cold turkey. Doing so can cause partial seizures or grand male seizures in those who regularly take the medication.
It can’t get you high, trust me.
