Tool: (noun)

1.) A guy with a hugely over-inflated ego, who in an attempt to get un-due attention for himself, will act like a jackass, because, in his deluded state, he will think it's going to make him look cool, or make others want to be like him. The person may even insincerely apologize later on, but only in an attempt to get more attention, or to excuse his blatantly intentional, and unrepentantly tool-ish behavior.

2.) Someone whose ego FAR exceeds his talent, intelligence, and likeability. But, of course, he is clueless regarding that fact. He erroneously thinks he is THE MAN!

3.) Someone who others normally refer to as a prick, dick, or schmuck.

4.) Someone who acts like a dick, because...well...he's compensating.

5.) Kanye West

A pick me is a woman that is willing to do anything for male approval. She will embarrass or throw other women under the bus to achieve this goal. The unfortunate thing about a pick me is usually the men they are trying to seek approval from are of poor quality and treat women badly, leaving little real benefit for the pick me.

One who lacks the mental capacity to know he is being used. A fool. A cretin. Characterized by low intelligence and/or self-steem.

That guy who makes us shake our head in disbelief but at the same time makes us feel better about ourselves since we are not him.

The first against the wall when the revolution comes. An inferior, low or no-self esteem individual who gets off obeying authority figures. One used by his superiors, who themselves undoubtedly would kick them to the curb in a heartbeat. Nevertheless, the tool believes they are worthy and significant STRICTLY because they have attached their whole sense of self to obeying said authority and/or submitting their individuality to another. Could be a woman...but is much more pronounced when seen in a "man".

(n.) - an individual who willingly changes his or her behavior for personal gain or profit. In this context, a tool is similar to a poser, with one important distinction. Because a tool does not consider his actions beyond rudimentary cost/benefit analysis, he or she will often be co-opted by corporations or powerful interest groups to support the lame or corrupt positions held by these organizations. A tool therefore, is quite literally an instrument of the man.

Typically a male, a tool is someone who needs a huge wake up call. They think they are God's gift to the world and will do the dumbest things to attempt to impress people, most commonly girls. Girls will laugh and this will lead this guys to believe that they are laughing because they think they are cute...but really, they are laughing because they think they are idiots. Tools also have the tendency to play with a girl's heart and not care because they think they are "hot" and can get away with anything. They may be attractive on the outside, but on the inside they are anything but.
