A good natured, yet slightly derogatory name for the Na'Vi,the Blue Alien Race in James Cameron's Avatar film. Referred to as such due to "Thunder" (as in 'Thundercats', the Feline Alien Humanoids from the 1980's cartoon series of the same name) and "Smurf" (a fictional race of blue elf-like beings from the 1980's cartoon, 'The Smurfs').
