Urban Dictionary: The Tar

Derogatory term used to describe black people, especially rioters, liberal activists, Democratic party supporters and criminals. Deliberately made to sound the same as the old-fashioned swear word "tarnation".

Most frequently used by blue collar populists and conspiracy theorists from the upper midwest (Wisconsin, Michigan and Minnesota). Used both by whites and latinos.

Qanon chick: CVS Pharmacy is nothing but a scam promoted by an unholy alliance of the deep state and the tar nation!

Guy: What happened to that Walmart? I just saw lost of police there today.
9/11 Truther: Tar nation rioters broke into it last night and robbed the place clean.

Refers to either:
(1) The correct way to pave a road (i.e., to evenly spread/roll asphalt and then neatly angle-smooth the edges)
(2) What "they" will do to you is you do a sorry-a** job of said paving.

D.O.T. foreman: The citizens in this area are really touchy about having their hard-won tax-dollars used for re-surfacing their main street, so I'd better see that my crew does a good job of it if we don't want them to tar 'n' feather us afterwards.
