王朋 in Chinese. A reoccurring character in the classic Integrated Chinese textbook series used by nearly all English-speaking learners of Chinese. In textbook illustrations, he has lusciously spiky hair and thick eyebrows. He is from Beijing and enjoys playing basketball. In the beginning of the series he is at the center of a love triangle between Li You and Bai Ying'Ai and later dates Li You.

Everyone loves Wang Peng, and most Chinese teachers use him as the target audience of in-class role play games and essay writing assignments.
Dude, did you read this week's Chinese 101 lesson text? Wang Peng finally gets together with Li You!
