One of the greatest bands known to ever grace god's green earth. Over their rocky history their has been over 40 members in the band, including the lead singer of Dead Meadow, Black Rebel Motorcycle Gang, and The Outcrowd. They play a mixture of shoegaze and 60s revival psychedelic rock which will blow your mind. Their lead singer and band nebulous is Anton Newcombe, a musical genius who has struggled through countless drug addictions. Recently the rockumentary DIG! was made about their history.

A portmanteau of carpe diem, a Latin phrase that means “Seize the Day!” and DM, which stands for Direct Messages. This word means seizing the day via DMs.

The Brian Jonestown Massacre (frequently abbreviated as "BJM" or "The BJM") are a neo-psychedelic rock band, founded in San Francisco, California, in the early 1990s, led by Anton Newcombe.

The BJM's music can mostly be described as "neo-psychedelic", since it is generally perceived to be "mind-expanding" music, and because it can be seen as being a "continuation" of music from the 1960s.

The name is an homage to Brian Jones, original lead guitarist for the Rolling Stones.
