Technically an acronym for "The Ultimate Fighter" reality show that propelled MMA (mixed martial arts) and the UFC into the spotlight for the casual fan.
It's now being used as a slang term to define anyone that started liking MMA because of this tv show and that tv show alone.
Often times used in popular mma forums such as Sherdog, FightHQ, Ninjashoes, Bloodyknux, etc.
Although it was first used in the OT section of FightHQ by UTT during a flamewar with Schellhardt.

Slang term for the underground practice of inhaling vapor from human feces, primarily for the narcotic effect of its methanethiol gas combined with the effect of hyperventilation. The term itself comes from "turd" and "huffing" due to the rapid inhalation and exhalation from paper or plastic bags containing the fecal matter. As with glue sniffing or hallucinogenic mushroom consumption,very unpleasant symptoms are experienced prior to the high, slowing the spread of the behavior. While its high is considered uniquely euphoric, tuffing is relatively brief and those who indulge in the practice risk severe infection, irritation of eyes and mucous membranes, convulsions or in extreme cases, coma or death.
Happy as they were, Shana and John annoyed all their friends after they'd been tuffing--they smelled like Mardi-Gras bathroom.

Any over zealous person who started watching Mixed Martial arts after the reality show "The Ultimate fighter" started airing. A TUF noob can be identified by his TapouT shirt. No real MMA fan wears the obnoxious and overpriced brand unless they are sponsored by them. They also refer to MMA as "Ultimate fighting." They also like to lie to people saying they "train UFC." That's like a football player who says he "trains NFL." A TUF noob has no formal training and while watching an event likes to scream what to do at trained MMA athletes who put a lot of hard work to get where they are. TUF noobs usually walk around like they have phone books under their armpits even if they don't have any muscle definition. Most TUF noobs cannot appreciate the aspect of ground fighting and thinks transitioning from positions and chaining submission attempts requires no skill. They just want to see hands being thrown but do not change the channel to watch boxing. TUF noobs like to start shit in bars, and usually gets in fights with other TUF noobs. Sometimes they pick on the wrong person who is minding their own business but actually trains and is knocked out or choked unconscious until they piss their pants.
