The step rule defines the only instance in which a family member having sex with another family member is not incest. This situation is where the relationship has step- in the name i.e. Stepsister, stepfather, etc.

Used to describe (generally female) imagery that's suggestive, but in a PG-13 sense rather than an R or above sense.
