A quintessential and traditional English pudding, commonly found in secondary school dining hall. It is a heavy sponge with raisins usually served hot with helpings of ambrosia custard (or your school's lumpy equivalent...)
Jack: Ianto, are you having any of that spotted dick today?
Ianto: depends if the custard doesn't stick to the spoon.
