The only Disney princess who originally was not a princess at birth and by definition would not be a princess as her mother was not born a princess either and this makes her a "Royal Consort." Technically invalidating this child princess of her royal status. But hey what do I know? This wanna-be princess can also talk to animals and hides that shit for no reason.
Sophia the First is a child's show on Disney Junior. Disney has a lax definition and/or understanding of princesses. Disney Princesses can be princesses even if they just do heroic things. Like Mulan.
