Soft Insult- An insult disguised as a compliment, often used in the southern states. Super condescending.
She really thought she could get with the hot guy at the bar so she wrote her number down on his napkin. then his hawt girlfriend walked up and says "Oh sweetheart, BLESS YOU HEART! You thought you had a chance with him!" And they both laughed in her face. BOOM! SOUTHERN BELL SWEET SLAPPED WITH A SOFT INSULT
