SOAPBOX JOHNNY : (Noun) One that stands and preaches on the proverbial soapbox. Figuratively speaking... of course. A Soapbox Johnny doesn't realize that he's on the soapbox until getting a headache or hearing the sound of his own voice drone on and on. A lot of times, someone else will have to kick it out from under a Soapbox Johnny; again, figuratively speaking. ( Authors note: The phrase, "Standing on a soapbox", originates from the days when speakers would elevate themselves by standing on a wooden crate, originally used for shipment of soap or other dry goods from a manufacturer to a retail store. Often used as a liberal platform for politicians or someone preaching politics.)

The phenomenon of having to come out as bisexual to the same person/people repeatedly because they assumed or hoped that your sexuality was a "phase." Refers less to the holiday and more to the 1993 Bill Murray comedy film in which the main character experiences the same day over and over.
