Feeling confused , bewildered, or deeply puzzled, esp in a situation where one is bounced back and forth between lies and truth. To experience feeling smolleted, the causing event must be of a nature that it is a threat to an individual’s sense of reality and self, a deeply felt existential threat.
There are few instances in which one can say “i am smolleted,” in the true spirit of the word. A situation that smollets must be one that bewilders individuals more intensely the more they analyze it. Smolletting is similar to an onion in both the layers it requires and the tears it evokes. Smolletting does not result in any discernible emotion, at least not one we have named in the english language, but rather from internal discord and distress of the spirit, mind, and heart.

A 12 year old kansas man was recently apprehended trying to enter the country with 10 kilos of cocaine, 5 large eggs, and an entire beehive. Authorities are unsure how he managed to get through airport security but have assured us there will be a thorough investigation and internal review. Police Chief Jussie told reporters, “ We will not tolerate this psychological mischief. The public deserves closure and peace of mind, so do our brave men and women in blue. The motive here was clearly to smollet, and we have filed charges against the perp for premeditated smolletting, smolletting with the intent to cause widespread distress, and smolletting with a deadly weapon. Justice will be served, and peace restored.”
