Derogatory term for a (usually younger) female, implying trashiness or tackiness, lower-class status, poor hygiene, flakiness, and a scrawny, pockmarked sort of ugliness. May also imply promiscuity, but not necessarily. Can apply to any race, but most commonly used to describe white trash.

Skank is a word used to explain a girl who "flurks" with every guy and then either talks to them or gives them head. The word skank can easily be mistaken for the word slut or whore. But a skank stabs a friend in their back and doesn't give a shit.

A golf shot similar to a shank. The only difference is that a skank is struck on the toe edge of the golf club (instead of the hosel). A skank is hard to control, but if done correctly, can shoot straight sideways at an unexpecting person.
