Typically, a showpig is a comically large weightlifter who can usually be found at the gym groaning loudly while lifting an obscene amount of weight with his upper body, but is seldom seen working out his legs. A showpig also characteristically tosses dumbells to the floor that he easily lifted only moments before exercising with them, and also allow the plates on the cable machine that he is using to come down with a loud clank after his last repetition. Rarely seen is the skinny, lesser male that exhibits this degree of showmanship, which is often far more entertaining than the hi-jinx of his larger counterpart.
