Particularly in music when an artist changes his/hers sound so it could appeall more to the masses. The most recent sell out is Bon Jovi. Or when someone snitches on you so they wont have to get in trouble. So they sold you out.

The best thing that a band can do to jump start their career. Not even a real word cuz selling out is the greatest thing that was ever invented.
The best thing blink 182 and Metallica did was sell out so they could let everyone hear their music not just these ignorant ass people who are jelous cuz they don't have what it takes to be in a band.
