Republicans who run on a platform of smaller government, less regulations, and fiscal responsibility, yet when they are in power do exactly the opposite.
Any Republican that does not adhere to the traditional Republican ideology and values of Laissez-faire and non-intervention, both in foreign or domestic policies.
The entire Bush era Republicans were Ripofflicans, with an exception of Ron Paul, and few others.

Ripofflican speaker John Boehner first refused to side with the Democraps on raising the debit ceiling but at the end gave in and went along. Ripofflicans always use bait and switch tactics.

Noun: a friend who is usually only called upon by a friend when a more primary/prominent friend is unavailable.

Taken from the term β€œsecond string” in an athletic competition situation. In football, if the star quarterback gets injured during a play, the second string is called off the bench to replace him/her. A β€œSecond String Friend” is essentially benched until needed, if ever.
