An expression referring to reading someone's chat-post, rather than talking to them. Rather than "talk to you later", it's "read you later", for the fact that you will have to read what they say rather than listening to them.
Bob and Tim chat on an instant messenger;
Bob: Talk to you later buddy.
Tim: You mean "read you later", buddy!
Bob: Talk to you later buddy.
Tim: You mean "read you later", buddy!
