Phrase used to annoy someone. Not meant as a slur on homosexuals, just as a way to irritate your friends. Most effective if 'queer' is said quietly, so only the victim can hear it, and even if (s)he does, (s)he's not entirely sure you did as it is so out of context.

Originaly meant strange or odd. Now stands for anyone who is sexualy different but may or may not mean gay. Queer covers any type of gender or sexual attitudes that are outside of the mainstream of one man one woman monogamy. You can be Queer and still have a heterosexual orientation if you have unusual sexual or gender identites, philosophies or habits.

A queere is a misspelling of queer (gay) in reference to the popular slogan of the John Deere tractor brand: Nothing Runs Like a Deere. In order to spoof the slogan, replace Deere with queer for the rhyme, then add an "e" to the end of queer to complete the satire. This misspelling, made popular by T-shirt Hell, pictures the outline of an flamboyant homosexual running away from an angry weapon wielding mob...hilarious

2.- A person who is not heterosexual. The word was meant as an insult but has been reclaimed by many non-heterosexual folks, many of whom use it to describe one another. It is still often considered rude to use the word "queer" in this context unless you self-identify as "queer".
