A term primarily used in fandom spaces. It is used to describe someone who respects others for their fictional pairings irregardless of their own feeling towards said pairing. People who identify themselves as proship (aka proshippers) may use the emoji combo π + π to indicate to others that they are proship. Interchangeable with the term "anti-anti".
Person 1: I don't personally like Bakudeku.
Person 2: Huh? I thought you were proship?
Person 1: I am. I just don't like it lmao, but i won't harass anyone over it.

A term mostly used in fandoms, but can stretch outside of this to include original characters. The core belief is that shipping two fictional characters, no matter if they are family, share ages gaps considered to be unhealthy, or show blatant signs of being abusive or other generally unsavory behaviours, are valid in a fictional setting.
Pro-Shippers or "anti-antis" are also known as "rainbow meaties" and will use π + π emojis together often in their bio on twitter or other social media platforms.
(Pro-Ship and its variants are often used by antis/anti-shippers to describe pedophiles or MAPs and their variants. However, these two terms are not interchangeable).

5
The practice of not shaming or harassing over fictional ships.
No matter how taboo or even problematic the ship may be a person who is pro ship, or a proshipper, doesn't care and simply doesn't engage.
The term pro ship was created on tumblr (at the time called anti-anti) to respond to "anti ship" people who would tag a ship with the word anti before it and send hate in the tag.
Although some people, who still believe fiction doesn't affect reality on a 1:1 scale, have distanced themselves from the "community" have taken new labels such as pro fiction or faia, etcc. they still stand for the same things.
What pro ship stands for is to accept and not harass people who ship something different, even if it makes you uncomfortable but even more to stand against hate and harassment.
Some people may not stand for that though, and they could be pro ship and still harass people. Those people are not really part of the community because they are part of the harassment problem.
Lastly, pro ship doesn't stand for problematic-shipping, many pro shippers don't appreciate problematic or dark content.

Example 1
Person A: Although I am proship I do not like to see (2 characters from a dark ship) as the age gap is too much for me.
Person B: that's ok! I'll make sure to tag this ship so that you will be able to mute the word and not see it around
Example 2
Person A: you shouldn't condone this stuff because it's disgusting and wrong
Person B: I want you to know that i do not condone in any way this kind of behaviour outside of fiction, please block me if you don't like this works or pro ship people like me

Somebody who doesn't harass others over their favoured character pairings or if they enjoy darker fiction. They're of the mindset that you can enjoy something without endorsing it in real life.
The opposite of a Proshipper is an 'anti-shipper', somebody who believes your taste in fiction determines your morals. They tend to harass and dox people over the internet for something as trivial as a fiction character ship.

interchangeable with βanti-anti,β proship (or proshipper) is a label used by people in fandoms to describe individuals who areβas the name suggestsβpro-shipping. proshippers are often misunderstood and labeled as βpedophilesβ and the like, but in no way do (most) proshippers support irl (in-real-life) pedophilia (or other βproblematicβ things such as incest or bestiality). instead, proshippers are anti-harassment, and defend the right to creative freedom. their argument is that there is a fine line between fiction and reality that one should learn to differentiate.
there are many ways to identify proshippers, specifically on twitter. some emojis they may use are:
