Prog metal for short. A sub genre of music that combines the almost jazz-like progression of progressive rock and the agression, volume, speed, and heaviness of metal. Usually features band members who are incredibly skilled at their instruments. Features rapid key changes, odd time signatures, and bombastic instrumental sections. It could be defined as "intelligent metal".

A term used to describe forward thinking electronic house music originating in the UK in the early 90's. Originally coined as a joke by a Mixmag journalist, it came to describe the sound championed by Sasha & John Digweed at Renaissance, Venue 44, Mansfield in the early 90's. "Renaissance - The Mix Collection" released in 1994 was the first ever DJ mix album, and defined the "progressive house" sound, taking in elements of trance and U.S. house. Other prominent DJ's in the "progressive house" scene include Dave Seaman, Nick Warren and James Zabiela.
Digweed was playing some proper deep prog last night
I love my progressive house but I also like tech-house and breaks
I love Sasha's progressive sound
This quality prog just stomps along
Sasha & Digweed B2B always does it for me

Not really considered to be an official genre, and not really as much of a combination of the two genres (progressive house and breakbeat) as it is to destinguish itself from Breakbeat in it's Hip Hop influenced form - where more of the emphasis is on being funky.
A Prog Breaks fan is more often a discerning listener and a thinker. Typical features of Prog Breaks include:
> Tidily composed, cleverly arranged beats
> A variety of texture (rough, smooth, sharp, flat)
> Ingenuity and innovation in synthetic sound
> A breakdown of some kind (for a few seconds), where the artist has let their creativity loose with upfront synth sounds or with a crazy, unpredictable bout of broken beats set to send your mind boggling.
Notable artists include (but definately not restricted to) - Hybrid, Luke Chable, Phil K, Andy Page, Burufunk, Grayarea.

A subgenre of metal incorporating elements from progressive rock. The earliest bands to fuse these two genres together were Dream Theater, Watchtower, Psychotic Waltz, and Fates Warning. (Although some argue King Crimson were ahead of their time doing this with 21st Century Schizoid Man.)
Keyboards/synths, and other instruments not seen as often in the metal genre are more commonly used in progressive metal.
It's common for progressive metal acts to have very long song lengths with plenty of complex instrumental sections which give the musicians a lot of room to show off. Odd-time signatures are also are commonly implemented.
Progressive metal lyrics tend to be very cerebral, with elements of fantasy, psychology, and science fiction thrown into the mix. (The sort of lyrics you'd expect from Stephen Hawking or Sigmund Freud if they ever formed a heavy metal band.)

Greatly under-aprreciated form of art. Adds elements of jazz, classical and avant-grade forms of music to come up with something new and original.
Dude that Yes band kicks immeasurable amounts of ass.
Dream Theatre are gods.
Frank Zappa is one fo the few musical genious' of our time.

You have kept an open mind about sex and sexuality. You have certain values that you would like to maintain but you have a more live and let live attitude toward sex. What is moral and immoral may be a rather grey line to you and depend quite a bit on the circumstances behind it. You would be willing to explore new areas of sexual experience to draw your own conclusions on what is morally right or wrong. As you let people live their own lives and experiences sexually you would expect the same regard back. Your partner suggesting new sexual encounters or experiences would more than likely excite you and give you something to look forward to. You more than likely have sex toys and fetishes that you share with your partner.
Always outside the mainstream. Sexually progressive. Living in your own head for solace and direction.
