Noun: a friend who is usually only called upon by a friend when a more primary/prominent friend is unavailable.

Taken from the term β€œsecond string” in an athletic competition situation. In football, if the star quarterback gets injured during a play, the second string is called off the bench to replace him/her. A β€œSecond String Friend” is essentially benched until needed, if ever.

A person who works in the television broadcast industry. They may seem self-centered and can be very annoying at times when in a group of three or more. Very funny at drunken parties often doing something crazy. They will be very "filmmaker" like or have liberal views in the left wing sense. If they don't then they are most likely nerds who wanted to do something cooler then I.T.

Typically be or know someone who attended Charles Sturt University, Wagga Wagga in Australia.

Someone who studies Television Production at Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga. They love of their HD outside broadcast truck, their multicamera television studio and their strong relationship with their fellow acting and design students. They hang around TV Land and the Visual Arts department. There is usually over 100 proddies at any given moment enrolled in Wagga Wagga.

Every year they produce O-Week TV to the first years and graduates can be found working in every broadcaster in Australia.
