May be one of the worst Pokemon main games of all time. We have low animation quality (Actual models are mostly fine. N64 quality trees are unacceptable pass the Gamecube), a horrible story (It does have some potential), overpriced DLC, a cut national pokedex (It can be implemented, they just want to sell us literal bits of data if I recall correctly. So no, you cannot "Catch Em' All." Also, no balancing issues were taken into account with the removal. We still have Ferothorn, Togekiss, Aegeslash-he was nerfed, Excadrill, Tyranitar, Multiple Mythical Pokemon, Multiple out-of-region legendary pokemon, and more like Garchomp on the way) no replay value, no voiceacting (Refer to the opening cut-scene and other areas some context), mediocre at best post game, and more depending on who you ask.

There are redeeming qualities, but the negative outmatch the positives here. If you want a game you will not regret buying, go and buy Pokemon HeartGold, Black, White, and their sequals, Omega Ruby, Crystal, or any game in general that peaks your interest. (Including Sword and Shield, but put more thought into it than you think you will need) If you want a real review with credible sources, check Youtube.
