A friend of the opposite gender, with whom you have no sexual tension or chemistry. Deinfed in the footnotes of Douglas Coupland's book Generation X. A nonsexual friendship with a member of the opposite sex. Douglas Coupland later admitted to being gay.

Although they were both straight, and not signifigantly unattractive people, their relationship was completely nonsexual.
