A town where everything is lacking in depth. A superficial town full of 2 dimensional beings..

Supposable they have something to do with copyrights but I think it the later.

A paper town is A place with no description. A place, or More accurately, a town/city, that has such no originality for it to be possessed as a place With flavor, or class. The paper town described In the original story by (John Green) is Orlando, Florida. One of the main characters (Margo Spiegelman) explains how everyone in the contaminated city is paper. Meaning that everyone there was built just to live and die. For no Immediate purpose. They spend as required and do nothing out of the originality. Although these paper People believe that they are doing what they are expected to keep the unoriginal society running on its uncoordinated Axis, and making their part and change in the community. However, what Margo begins to realize is that they are all controlled factors, as in a experiment. They are just paper people, like paper dolls. Just living in a Paper Society with fellow paper People.

Towns that appear to be beautiful when you look at them from afar but up close it's different, you don't look at it the same way. Up close you see the the truth that is hidden behind the beauty from a far and sometimes you wish just to see the beauty and not the truth.

A town marked on a map that doesn't actually exist and is used to help map making companies avoid being plagarized.

In the author’s note, John writes about how paper towns were not real places, but names of places on maps, “…created to protect against copyright infringement,” (p. 307). It’s the thought of creating something that other people want to make real, which resembles Margo so well. As she said, “It’s great being an idea that everybody likes. But I could never be the idea to myself, not all the way. And Algoe is a place where paper creation became real… I thought the paper cutout of a girl could become real here also,” (p. 294). Maybe life is not about belonging to anything or anyone. Maybe it’s not about being anything at all. Maybe it’s just about being one’s own Margo.
