"Tans" or "Tan" is a common Slang word for a gun (usually a pistol or handgun). This word is commonly used by UK gang members or "Roadmen" in housing estates throughout London. This word is also used in other countries e.g. Australia and Scotland throughout the "Drill Rap" Music Genre.
