Brainchild of William Simkin, a 17th Century harpsichord player who, after a time-travel experiment gone awry, has found himself stranded in the present day. William has taken a liking to modern-day synthesizers and has been quoted as calling them "manageable". The project's name stemmed from a childhood nightmare William had of a giant man/toast beast with the face of a cat. He dubbed the creature Nikmis, his last name backwards. "They'll never figure THAT one out!" he said.
