Lots of famous people were born on this day. It is a significant day because it is the day after May Day which is a day of celebration, but more importantly a day of freedom for working class people. May Day is such an important day, many have extended the celebration into May 2nd.

A national holiday.
This holiday was created in memorial to the epic importance of the day that Harry Potter defeated the Dark Lord. Also, this day is one to lament over the lives lost in that historical battle at Hogwarts.
We celebrate this Holiday by mimicking the attire of all who fought in the battle. We consume butter beers, in respect to the children's favorite drink. Also, we carry around wands, and control everything with spells.
Please respect this holiday, and do not mock, for if you do, our powers will overcome you.
